Things to Pack when traveling (Part 2) and more Mabula photos

Nothing like looking at Pintrest when the real thing is just in front of you!
So, after the excitement of the "Elephants of Mabula" (Post number 4, - just adding a few more photos from Mabula in this post), lets get back to travel tips and what to pack!
I always pack a few large plastic bags (like black garbage bags) to keep my dirty clothes in and separate from the clean clothes in the suitcase. Also helps you when you are looking for clean clothes in your suitcase.
Talking about clean clothes, it is always a good idea to try and keep a set of clean clothes for the flight home. This is sometimes difficult, but it is really nice to start a long trip home with a clean set of clothes!
Another handy thing I normally take with me is a few cable ties. These can come in quite handy when the baggage handlers at the airports manage to break the zips or the zip levers (what do you call the little thing you pull to open a zip?) on your case.
Just a few more photos from my recent trip to Mabala game reserve.
I spoke about some of the Apps to make use of. The first of these is a wonderful packing App, called uPackingList. This is a very useful App. By default, it has pretty much everything you would need to pack on the list, but you can also add other items to the list. You can quietly set up your packing list on the App a few days before you are leaving. Then on the day you need to pack, you can make use of the App and tick off items as you pack them. Touch wood, so far, I have never forgotten anything important on my trips.
Of course when packing, particularly your carry on bag, there are very important lists of things you cannot take into the cabin. This includes a limit on the volume of liquids you can carry on. Make sure of this list before you arrive at the airport! No sharp objects.

There are 6 cheetahs in Mabula. We saw this mother with her 3 grown up cubs on the way out.
Think about what will happen if you are on the flight to Delhi and your luggage is on the flight to Rio! This can very easily happen! It might take three or four days before your bag eventually arrives! Always plan for the worst case scenario. Take a few essential items, like a change of undies in your cabin bag.
